Mission And Vision: Sharing God’s Unchanging Love in an Ever-Changing World
St. John’s Youth Fellowship (JYF) is a cool hangout for Christian young adults, youth and teens to come build quality relationships, have fun, share problems and dig into God’s word together!
JYF’S Misson
Our mission is to reach out to the unreached people with the love and truth that God has revealed in Jesus Christ.
JYF’S Vision
In an ever-changing world, JYF’s vision is to remain faithful to the unchanging message of the Gospel and to present it powerfully in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are trying to build a youth group that would, in turn, be a blessing to the people around them. In order to achieve our vision we are having regular youth meetings, initiate youth retreats and seminars, so that the youth grow spiritually in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Flash Back
The Youth fellowship at St.John’s Church started in 1970. It was first called ‘Young People’s Fellowship (YPF). Our activities involve, helping the poor like buying ration for widows in widow’s home, visiting the sick of our Church congregation, donating the offering collected during carol singing to some good cause.
Our other activities involved, having weekly meetings, in which we had guest speakers deliver God’s message, had quizzes, games, etc. We also used to invite other church youth members so as to know their activities and to have a good interaction.
The Women’s Fellowship of St John’s is always a beehive of activity. Women’s fellowship meets every Sunday in side chapel. Thank you, for a time of praise & prayer to intercede for various prayer requests from the congregation & otherwise.
JOB 42-10” And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before”.
We were witness to many answered prayers regarding visa, journey mercies, sickness, job transfers, admission, jobs, salvation etc. In a couple of cases two couples who were in our prayer list for babies became proud parents after continuous prayers for many years.
The Men’s Fellowship was started in the year 2005 by our church elders Mr. I.P.P. Prabhakar Rao and Mr. Subash Desappa. The main purpose is to bring about more interaction and improve spiritual development activity, uniting the men in the spirit of love where each man recognizes that he is his brother’s keeper.
The Men’s ministry is committed to serving God by serving our families, our church and our community. The MF meets every Sunday in the south wing after the service to discuss and strengthen each other about the scripture theme for the day. We pray for prayer requests with time of testimony.
The MF participate by rendering special songs during Christmas and other occasions, meet and encourage new comers and regular members to participate in various activities like choir, skits, carols, visiting the sick, prayer meetings, counting offertory, assist Pastor in Bible Class and training programmes.
In general MF is interested in long term activities which will result in bringing more people to work for His Kingdom. The MF visited rural churches participated in worship service assessed and assisted in construction of new churches, financially. We are also coordinating with Choir Master to teach Music sight reading to Sunday school children.
