Psalms 18
The first words, “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength,” are the scope and contents of the psalm. Those that truly love GOD, may triumph in HIM as their Rock and Refuge, and may with confidence call upon HIM. It is good for us to observe all the circumstances of a mercy which magnify the power of GOD and HIS goodness to us in it. David was a praying man, and GOD was found a prayer-hearing GOD. If we pray as he did, we shall speed as he did. GOD’s manifestation of HIS presence is very fully described, Hebrews 5:7. GOD made the earth to shake and tremble, and the rocks to cleave, and brought him out, in HIS resurrection, because he delighted in him and in his undertaking.
OLD TESTAMENT
🌈
1 Kings 18: 1 – 29
1 Kings 18: 18
Ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD.
Elijah’s courageous confrontation with Ahab and with unrighteousness in Israel made him a model prophet to Israel and the most qualified person to be a prototype of the forerunner of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He was the true man of GOD one who spoke not as a people pleaser but as a faithful bondservant of GOD. As Elijah was called to defend the true GOD of Israel, all ministers of the new covenant are called to defend the gospel of CHRIST against distortion. Compromise and corruption.
NEW TESTAMENT
✝️
Mark 3: 20 – 4: 9
Mark 4: 2
Parables.
JESUS often taught in parables. A parable is a simple story from everyday life that reveals truth about the kingdom of GOD to those whose hearts are prepared to hear and conceals this truth from those whose hearts are unprepared.

Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of world’s history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
