Psalms 149 and 150

Psalms 149: 1 – 5
New mercies continually demand new songs of praise, upon earth and in heaven. And the children of Zion have not only to bless the GOD who made them, but to rejoice in HIM, as having created them in CHRIST JESUS unto good works, and formed those saints, as well as men. The LORD takes pleasure in His people; they should rejoice in HIM. When the LORD has made sinners feel their wants and unworthiness, HE will adorn them with the graces of HIS SPIRIT, and cause them to bear HIS image, and rejoice in HIS happiness for ever. Let HIS saints employ their waking hours upon their beds in songs of praise. Let them rejoice, even upon the bed of death, assured that they are going to eternal rest and glory.

OLD TESTAMENT
🌈
Esther 8: 9 – 9: 10

Esther 8: 17
The fear of the Jews fell upon them.
Not only did GOD enable the Jews to defend themselves, but also caused the people of the land to fear the Jews. In other words, GOD’s people actually gained in stature through the wicked plot of Haman.

NEW TESTAMENT
✝️
1 Corinthians 3: 16 – 4: 5

1 Corinthians 3: 16
Ye are the temple of GOD.
The emphasis here is on the entire congregation of believers as the temple of GOD and the dwelling place of the SPIRIT. As the temple of GOD in the corrupt society, GOD’s people in Corinth were not to participate in the evils prevalent in that society, but were to reject all forms of immorality. GOD’s temple must be holy because GOD is holy.
