Psalms 76 & 77
Psalms 76: 1 – 6
Happy people are those who have their land filled with the knowledge of GOD! Happy persons that have their hearts filled with that knowledge! It is the glory and happiness of a people to have GOD among them by HIS ordinances. Wherein the enemies of the church deal proudly, it will appear that GOD is above them. See the power of GOD’s rebukes. With pleasure may Christians apply this to the advantages bestowed by the Redeemer.
OLD TESTAMENT
🌈
2 Kings 10: 12 – 35
2 Kings 10: 31
Take no heed to walk in the law.
Jehu, though zealous for GOD, did not serve HIM with all his heart. He permitted the worship of the golden calves for political reasons and took little interest in GOD’s law. Thus the spiritual reformation GOD had intended for Israel was hindered because of a leadership failure involving personal ambition and love of power. Great revivals and reformation die when self-seeking interest takes priority over GOD’s purpose. Because Jehu served GOD out of motives tainted by carnal self-interest rather than out of sincere concern for truth and righteousness, GOD later punished his house.

Mark 12: 1 – 17
Mark 12: 10
The stone…. Of the corner.
CHRIST is the rejected stone thrown away by Israel but about to become the capstone or cornerstone of GOD’s new people, the church. HE is the most important stone in this new structure that GOD is building.
