Collect:
Loving and Compassionate God, we thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ, who bore our sins and died on the cross to save humankind, granting us your merciful blessings through salvation and eternal life; as you have shown steadfast love and forgiveness from the days of old, grant us your grace and love to forgive others, that we, following the example of Christ who suffered without retaliation and entrusted Himself to you, may become channels of your blessing all the days of our earthly life; give us hearts that are humble, obedient to your will, and open like Bartimaeus, to call out in faith and walk in the path of discipleship, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.
Amen.
