PSALMS
🎼
Psalms 120 to 125
Psalms 120: 5 – 7
It is very grievous to a good man, to be cast into, and kept in the company of the
wicked, from whom he hopes to be forever separated. See here the character of a
good man; he is for living peaceably with all men. And let us follow David as he
prefigured CHRIST; in our distress let us cry unto the LORD, and HE will hear us. Let
us follow after peace and holiness, striving to overcome evil with good.
OLD TESTAMENT
🌈
Isaiah 28: 1 – 13
Isaiah 28: 11
Stammering lips and another tongue.
If the Israelites refused to hear Isaiah, GOD would force them to listen through the
military might of a foreign power e.g. the Assyrians who spoke the language they could
not understand.
NEW TESTAMENT
✝
James 5: 7 – 20
James 5: 16
Confess…pray…be healed.
This verse gives us an important reason why healing is often lacking in the Christian
community. Sin must be confessed to others, and fervent prayer for one another be
made to GOD. Sin in the church hinders the prayer of believers and blocks the
healing power of GOD from being manifested in the congregation.
