Psalms 29 β 31
Psalms 30: 6
In my prosperity… I shall never be moved.
Secure in his prosperity, the psalmist assumed that his wealth and success made him so strong that nothing could destroy his happiness. GOD then withdrew HIS protective hand and brought serious trouble and helplessness into his life, causing him to experience the need for GOD’s continual care and presence. All believers who feel secure in themselves, who rely on temporal things, and who give GOD and HIS kingdom anything but first place are warned by the words of this psalm.β
OLD TESTAMENT
π
Judges 12: 1 β 13: 14
Judges 13: 1
The Philistines.
A great movement of Philistines migrated to the south coast of Canaan about 1200 B.C. They became the Principal enemy of the Hebrews during the years 1200 to 1000 B.C. Because of their ability to make iron weapons, they possessed a military advantage over Israel.

β
2 Timothy 1: 6 β 18
2 Timothy 1: 6
Stir up the……of GOD.
The gift given to Timothy is compared to a fire that he must fan into a flame. The gift was probably a special anointing and power from the HOLY SPIRIT to fulfil his ministry. Note that the gifts and power bestowed on us by the SPIRIT do not automatically remain strong and vital. They must be fueled by the grace of GOD through our prayer, faith, obedience and diligence.
