Psalms 86; 87 and 88
Psalms 87: 4 β 7
The church of CHRIST is more glorious and excellent than the nations of the earth.
In the records of heaven, the meanest of those who are born again stand registered. When GOD renders to every man according to his works, he shall observe who enjoyed the privileges of His sanctuary. To them much was given, and of them much will be required. Let those that dwell in Zion, mark this, and live up to their profession. Zion’s songs shall be sung with joy and triumph. The springs of the joy of a carnal worldling are in wealth and pleasure; but of a gracious soul, in the word of GOD and prayer. All grace and consolation are derived from CHRIST, through His ordinances, to the souls of believers.
OLD TESTAMENT
π
Micah 3: 1 β 4: 8
Micah 3: 2
Hate the good, and love the evil.
The leaders of the nation had abandoned the godly standards of the past and substituted their own legal codes. They purposely loved evil and injustice in their pursuit of material gain. GOD calls us to do the opposite to love righteousness and hate evil.
NEW TESTAMENT
βοΈ
Revelation 16: 8 β 16
Revelation 16: 11
Repented not.
Even in the middle of GOD’s terrible judgements, men and women will choose to live in sin and to persist in their rebellion against righteousness. Repentance is the only act that will stop the judgements of GOD.
