📓
Psalms 145 and 146
Psalms 145: 8
The LORD is gracious.
This often repeated refrain expresses GOD’s delight in showing mercy. When HE sees misery, it moves HIS heart to compassion, HE is slow to become angry at our offences and quickly shows love and mercy when forgiveness is required.
OLD TESTAMENT
📓
Nehemiah 9: 15 – 36
Nehemiah 9: 30
And testifieth against them by thy spirit in thy prophets.
A principle work of the HOLY SPIRIT in the Old Testament was to rebuke GOD’s people and expose their sins through His faithful prophets. Under the new covenant, the Spirit continues to convict people of sin.
NEW TESTAMENT
✝
Revelation 7: 1 – 10
Revelation 7: 9
A great multitude.
John describes a scene in heaven of a great multitude of people from all nations who come to salvation through faith in CHRIST. They will be with GOD free from pain and sorrow. Many believe that this multitude saved by the blood of the LAMB are tribulation saints because John states that they came out of great tribulation.
Those who accept CHRIST are special objects of persecution from satan and evil people.
