We are taught to bless GOD in CHRIST, for all HE has done for us by HIM.
David is earnest in prayer for the fulfilment of this prophecy and promise. It is sad to think how empty the earth is of the glory of GOD, how little service and honour HE has from a world to which HE is so bountiful. May we, like David, submit to CHRIST’s authority, and partake of HIS righteousness and peace. May we bless HIM for the wonders of redeeming love. May we spend our days, and end our lives, praying for the spread of HIS gospel.β

Buy the field.
During his confinement Jeremiah was instructed by the LORD to buy a field in his hometown village of Anathoth, a place already controlled by Babylonian forces, it must have been foolish to buy land which was already in enemy hands. By purchasing the land Jeremiah demonstrated faith in GOD’s promise that remnants would return to the land and again buy land and build houses.

The fruit of the vine…
What JESUS and the disciples drank at the Passover supper is called the cup or the cup of thanksgiving and the fruit of the vine. Scriptural evidence supports the view that the juice of the vine was unfermented at the LORDβs Supper.
Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of worldβs history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
