Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and closest to approach unto THEE.
Our greatest joy is to be near GOD and to enjoy communion with HIM, this is now possible with all believers through the sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST, and through the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT.​

The sons of David…
The author gives special attention to the descendants of David. It was from the family of David that GOD had promised to bring the Messianic king to rule GOD’s people. The author wants to show that although David’s kingdom had been destroyed, his descendants lived on.
Thus GOD could and would fulfil HIS promises.

According to various ancient writers, the good (choice, or best) wine was the sweetest wine, one could be drunk freely without the fear of intoxication, and it is significant that the Greek adjective translated good here is excellent.
