Psalms 103 and 104: 1 – 23
Psalms 103: 14
HE knoweth our frame.
GOD cities His children because HE knows their weaknesses and infirmities. Even the best of His followers stand in need of HIS compassion. As a Father has deep compassion for His children when they fail, suffer or are mistreated, so also the HEAVENLY FATHER hurts when His own are hurting in the midst of trouble, failure and struggle, we must not think that GOD is aloof or uncaring, rather we must remember that HIS eyes look on us with compassion, and HE will help us according to our need.
OLD TESTAMENT
📓
Ezra 7: 1 – 20
Ezra 7: 6
The hand of the LORD his GOD was upon him.
Three times this chapter says that the hand of the LORD was upon Ezra .Three reasons are given. Ezra had devoted himself to study GOD’s Word, to practice it and to teach it to others. Loyalty to GOD and HIS Word will always be accompanied by the LORD’s blessing and help. This principle is affirmed in New Testament passages.
Ezra adds another occasion in which the LORD’s hand is on His people, namely that GOD’s favour comes to those who seek HIM with their whole heart. Any who seek GOD and who genuinely manifest loyalty to HIM and HIS Word will experience the favourable hand of the LORD upon them.

Hebrews 11: 11 – 28
Hebrews 11: 13
Not having received the promises.
These Old Testament saints died with the faith that GOD had something better in store for them. In their lifetime they did not see the final promised blessing of the redeemed. We believers today must also persevere in faith and trust in GOD, even when we do not see all of the promises of GOD fulfilled in our lives.
