Collect: Almighty God, whose blessed Son called Matthew from the pursuit of worldly gain to become an apostle and evangelist, free us from all covetous desires and love of money, and grant that, trusting only you, we may obey the call of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and ever.
