Merciful GOD, we pray that, as YOUR holy apostle James left his father and all that he had and obeyed the call of YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST, so we may forsake every selfish desire and be ready at all times to accomplish the work that You would have us do; through JESUS CHRIST our LORD, who lives and reigns with YOU and the HOLY SPIRIT, one GOD, now and ever.
Amen.
