PSALMS
🎼
Psalms 118 and 119: 1 – 24
Psalms 118
HIS mercy endureth forever.
This psalm praises the LORD for HIS everlasting love for His people. It may have been the last words sung by JESUS and HIS disciples before HE went to the Garden of Gethsemane, where HE was arrested and led to HIS death. It will also be sung before the return of CHRIST at the end of the age.

When reading this psalm, meditate on what might have been in CHRIST’s mind when HE sang it for the last time.

OLD TESTAMENT
🌈
Numbers 32: 28 – 33: 17
Numbers 32: 28 – 42
Concerning the settlement of these tribes, observe, that they built the cities, i.e. repaired them. They changed the names of them; probably they were idolatrous, therefore they should be forgotten.

A spirit of selfishness, of seeking our own, not the things of CHRIST, when each one ought to assist others, is as dangerous as it is common. It is impossible to be sincere in the faith, sensible of the goodness of GOD, constrained by the love of CHRIST, sanctified by the power of the HOLY GHOST, and yet be indifferent to the progress of religion, and the spiritual success of others, through love of ease, or fear of conflict.

Let then your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your FATHER who is in heaven.

NEW TESTAMENT
✝
Ephesians 2: 11 – 22
Ephesians 2: 20
Foundation…apostles…
The church can only be a true church if it is founded on the CHRIST-inspired infallible revelation to the first apostles.

The New Testament apostles were the original messengers, witnesses and authorised representatives of the crucified and the risen LORD.
