David emphasizes that those who want to worship and serve GOD and receive HIS blessing must pursue a pure heart and a righteous life. Clean hands are hands-free from external acts of sin. A pure heart refers to inward holiness, right motives and goals. Only the pure in the heart will see GOD.

The Nazarites were raised up by GOD HIMSELF in order that through their lifestyle they might demonstrate HIS highest standard of holiness, sanctity and commitment in the presence of the people. Totally voluntary.
