PSALMS
🎼
Psalms 147 and 148
Psalms 148: 1 – 6
We, in this dark and sinful world, know little of the heavenly world of light. But we know that there is above us a world of blessed angels. They are always praising GOD, therefore the psalmist shows his desire that GOD may be praised in the best manner; also we show that we have communion with spirits above, who are still praising HIM. The heavens, with all contained in them, declare the glory of God.
They call on us, that both by word and deed, we glorify with them the CREATOR and REDEEMER of the universe.

OLD TESTAMENT

1. In the van-guard on the east were posted Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun (verses 3-9).
2. In the right wing, southward, Reuben, Simeon, and Gad (verses 10-16).
3. In the rear, westward, Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin, (verses 18-24).
4. In the left wing, northward, Dan, Asher, and Naphtali (verses 25-31).
5. The tabernacle in the centre (verse 17).
III. The conclusion of this appointment (verses 32, etc.).

NEW TESTAMENT
✝
Acts 13: 38 – 52
Acts 13: 52
Filled with the HOLY GHOST.
The Greek verb translated filled is in the imperfect tense, expressing continued action in past time. The disciples were being continually filled and empowered day by day. The SPIRIT’s fullness is not merely a one-time initial experience, but a life of renewed fillings for GOD-given needs and tasks.
