Psalms 126 to 131
Psalms 127: 1 β 5
Except what the LORD builds …
Only what is from GOD and has HIS blessing is truly valuable in life, conversely, if GOD is not in our lives, activities, goals and families, then all is in vain and will end in frustration and disappointment. Thus we should seek GOD’s blessing and guidance in all things from the very beginning of our lives.β
OLD TESTAMENT
π
Jeremiah 51: 20 β 44
Jeremiah 51: 33
The time of her harvest shall come.
Babylon had sown seeds of cruelty, idolatry and immorality, now she would reap the harvest of GOD’s judgement. We must remember that sins are seeds from which a large and terrible harvest will eventually spring. Be not deceived. GOD is not mocked – for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
NEW TESTAMENT
β
Acts 10: 9 β 33
Acts 10: 19
The SPIRIT said unto him…
The HOLY SPIRIT desires the salvation of all people. Since the apostles received the SPIRIT, they too wanted all people to be saved intellectually, however, they did not understand that salvation was no longer restricted to Israel, but was now for all nations. It was the HOLY SPIRIT that brought the church to a broader vision. In Acts HE is the power of the mission enterprise, directing the church into new areas of witness.
The outpouring of the SPIRIT and the compulsion to mission always belong together. Even today many believers desire the salvation of their own community, yet they have not understood fully the HOLY SPIRIT’s purpose for world missions and the nations.

Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of worldβs history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
