Psalms 105: 1 β 7
Our devotion is here stirred up, that we may stir up ourselves to praise GOD. Seek HIS strength; that is, HIS grace; the strength of HIS Spirit to work in us that which is good, which we cannot do but by strength derived from HIM, for which HE will be sought. Seek to have HIS favour to eternity, therefore continue seeking it while living in this world; for HE will not only be found, but HE will reward those that diligently seek HIM.

Jeremiah 45: 1 β 5
Baruch, chronologically, this chapter goes back to the fourth year of King Jehoiakim’s reign in Jerusalem. Its message was intended to strengthen the faith of Jeremiah’s secretary Baruch, who had become discouraged because of the apparent failure of β Jeremiah’s ministry and the impending judgment upon Judah, GOD instructed him not to seek power or position for himself. Because of his faithfulness to Jeremiah and to GOD’s message, Baruch would survive the destruction of Jerusalem.
NEW TESTAMENT
β
Acts 5: 12 β 32
Acts 5: 16
They healed every one.
The apostles did as their LORD had done. They healed the sick and delivered those tormented with evil spirits. This was a paramount sign that the kingdom of GOD had come among the people with great power. It is part of the full message of new life that GOD by the HOLY SPIRIT working through us desires to heal those oppressed by sickness and Satan.
Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of worldβs history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
