Psalms 96: 1 – 9
When CHRIST finished HIS work on earth and was received into HIS glory in heaven, the church began to sing a new song unto HIM and to bless HIS name. His apostles and evangelists showed forth HIS salvation among the heathen, HIS wonders among all people.
All the earth is here summoned to worship the LORD. We must worship HIM in the beauty of holiness, as GOD in CHRIST, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF. Glorious things are said of HIM, both as motives to praise and matter of praise.​

Jeremiah 40: 7 – 16
Gedaliah…governor of the land, and a good ruler, helped restore order and peace to the land, he served approximately five years before being assassinated by Ishmael, who wanted to continue opposition to Babylon. Gedaliah trusted Ishmael too much, even after being warned of an assassination plot.

This passage describes important characteristics of the Spirit-filled church immediately after Pentecost.
Fellowship (Koinonia) the disciples not only developed a vertical relationship with GOD but also nourished horizontally a warm, honest, open, healing, redeeming fellowship based upon a common life together in CHRIST. They pursued the fellowship of CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT between and among believers.
