Psalms 109: 6 – 20
The LORD JESUS may speak here as a Judge, denouncing sentence on some of his enemies, to warn others. When men reject the salvation of CHRIST, even their prayers are numbered among their sins. See what hurries some to shameful deaths, and brings the families and estates of others to ruin; makes them and theirs despicable and hateful, and brings poverty, shame, and misery upon their posterity: it is sin, that mischievous, destructive thing. And what will be the effect of the sentence, “Go, ye cursed,” upon the bodies and souls of the wicked! How it will affect the senses of the body, and the powers of the soul, with pain, anguish, horror, and despair! Think on these things, sinners, tremble and repent.

Isaiah 22: 4
I will weep bitterly.
Isaiah, a true prophet, felt deeply the tragedy of a fallen and apostate people. GOD’s people were being destroyed, and he grieved for them and for his betrayed GOD. While others were experiencing joy and revelry. The prophet had to share the sorrow of GOD.

James 1: 5
If any of you lack wisdom.
We are to ask GOD for wisdom for coping with our trials, not just for deliverance from them. Wisdom means the spiritual capacity to see and evaluate life and conduct from GOD’s point of view. It involves making right choices and doing right things according to both the will of GOD revealed in HIS Word and the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT. We can receive wisdom by drawing near to GOD and asking for it in faith.
