Psalms 132 to 135
Psalms 132: 1 – 10
David bound himself to find a place for the LORD, for the ark, the token of GOD’s presence. When work is to be done for the LORD, it is good to tie ourselves to a time. It is good in the morning to fix upon work for the day, with submission to Providence, for we know not what a day may bring forth. And we should first, and without delay, seek to have our own hearts made a habitation of GOD through the SPIRIT. He prays that GOD would take up HIS dwelling in the habitation HE had built; that HE would give grace to the ministers of the sanctuary to do their duty. David pleads that he was the anointed of the LORD, and this he pleads as a type of CHRIST, the great Anointed. We have no merit of our own to plead; but, for His sake, in whom there is a fullness of merit, let us find favour. And every true believer in CHRIST, is an anointed one, and has received from the Holy One the oil of true grace. The request is, that GOD would not turn away, but hear and answer their petitions for HIS SON’s sake.

Esther 2: 19 – 3: 11
Esther 3: 4
He was a Jew.
Those around Mordecai wanted to know why he did not bow down. He gave them only one answer, he was a Jew.
GOD sent the Jews into captivity to purge them of their idolatry. We see from Ezra and Nehemiah that the Jews who went back to Jerusalem had learned their lesson and wanted a worship free from idolatry, the book of Esther shows that the Jews who did not go back had also learned their lesson. By this time it meant something to be a Jew, and Jews refused to kneel down to any human or idol. We too as Christians must take a firm stand for CHRIST and the righteous standards of HIS Word in the midst of the pressures of a worldly society.

Galatians 6: 1 – 18
Galatians 6: 6 – 10
Communicate unto him.
It is the duty of all who are taught GOD’s Word to help provide material support to those who instruct. Those who are worthy of support include those in the fivefold ministry. To give to those who minister in the Word is a part of doing good to those who belong to the family of believers, in due season we shall reap both reward and eternal life.

Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of world’s history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
