Psalms 72 & 73
Psalms 72: 1
This psalm belongs to Solomon in part, but to CHRIST more fully and clearly. Solomon was both the king and the king’s son, and his pious father desired that the wisdom of GOD might be in HIM, that his reign might be a remembrance of the kingdom of the Messiah. It is the prayer of a father for his child; a dying blessing. The best we can ask of God for our children is, that God would give them wisdom and grace to know and to do their duty.

In the portion of the field of Naboth.
Ahab and Jezebal, the parents of kin Joram, had ruthlessly defrauded Naboth in order to steal his field. Now the dead body of their son was thrown into that very field. The sins of parents may bear fruit in their children years after parent’s death.

JESUS went into the temple.
CHRIST’s driving out those who were buying and selling in the temple shows HIS zeal for true holiness and prayer among those who claim to worship GOD.
