PSALMS
📓
Psalms 120 to 125
Psalms 123: 1
Unto thee lift I up my eyes.
This psalm describes humble believers who look continually and expectantly to GOD to put an end to the contempt and scorn shown towards them. It expresses the cry of those who are always watching for and desiring CHRIST’s return to save His people from an ungodly and hostile world.
OLD TESTAMENT
📓
Nehemiah 5: 1 – 19
Nehemiah 5: 1 – 19
The fear of GOD.
Because Nehemiah feared GOD, he did not use his authority to take advantage of the people, as some other leaders before him had done. Reverence for GOD makes us aware of our accountability to HIM and motivates us to turn away from even subtle practices, such as manipulating and defrauding his people.
NEW TESTAMENT
✝
Revelation 3: 1 – 13
Revelation 3: 5
Blot out his name.
This verse clearly indicates the very real possibility of members in the body of Christ having their names taken out of the Book of Life if they do not persevere in faith and overcome evil around them and their sinful nature within. To have one’s name blotted out of the Book of Life is to lose eternal life itself and to be condemned to the lake of fire in the end. This is what the Spirit says to the churches.

Away in an obscure corner of Asia Minor, the greatest event of world’s history had taken place: The advent of Jesus Christ and the founding of the Christian Church.
