Christmas is for the recognition of God’s coming into the world, the praise of Christ the Son, the celebration of salvation, and the proclamation of the good news that the light of God has dawned upon those sitting in the shadow of eternal death and that the grace of God has brought the forgiveness of sins and hope of eternal life to people everywhere. Christmas should be marked by quiet periods of silent reflection about the wonders of God’s revelation through the Son, by happiness of greeting and joyful celebration to share faith, hope and love in thankful praise to God in our midst and by giving gifts to share food with the hungry and healing for the sick and comfort for the brokenhearted and the knowledge of salvation for the lost. Christmas will be different if we realize that Christ Jesus has come to visit us and fill our hearts with heaven’s joy and our minds with God’s peace. Let us make Christmas a season of spiritual celebration to magnify God’s saving love through His Son Jesus. Amen. My Warmest thoughts and Wishes for a Merry Christmas 2018 and a Blessed New Year 2019
